Here's an interesting, new article about CCS:

Lots of hard work, thanks for seeing that. I would love to see PV, wind and trees returned to the sites. Mountains would be very nice but, SMP will never have that kind of money.

Ah, I see. Well there are hundreds of MTR mine sites that are waiting to be reclaimed already, so you've got your hard work cut out for you! :)

This is a "reclaimed" mine site, image from ilovemountains.org.

Hard work will always do good.

I never said that I could return the mountain. I cant stop it. SMP can help what is left over. We all have to start somewhere. Planting trees is poss. thats all SMP wants to do. SMP only wants to return some good to the area that was harmed. Trees never hurt anyone, unless one falls on you. :)

But what about the destruction of the mountains, waterways, homes and heritage of the people who live near the mines? I'm not sure if you're talking about reclamation, but it's extremely difficult to reclaim a MTR site to anything hear its original state. The topsoil is far too poor.

Trees can make a coal mine carbon ZERO, easy.

Showalter Micropower can make a COAL MINE carbon zero in short order with carbon off sets from trees on the same mine.
